Meet Dr. Pastor Barbara Adams

Barbara Jones: A Passionate Servant of the Most High King

A native of Washington, D.C., Barbara Jones is a devoted child of the Most High King, Jesus Christ. She has actively served in the Lord’s church throughout her entire life and currently holds the role of Associate Pastor at The House of Hope Praise Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Nelson Luke White, Founder and Senior Pastor. Barbara leads the weekly noon-day "Senior Chit-Chat" for the seniors at her church, providing fellowship and spiritual encouragement.

With a heart for mentoring and empowering the next generation, Barbara opened a café at her church, where she taught young people how to run a small business and serve others with excellence. She has also led youth Sunday School for middle and high school disciples. Known affectionately as "AP BA," she is always ready to step in wherever there is a need, embodying a true spirit of service.

In addition to her church ministry, Barbara is a Human Resources Specialist and holds a Doctorate in Theology. She is also the founder of the Facebook page "And Then She Prayed," where she inspires and uplifts individuals through scripture, personal experiences, and prayer. Her book, AND THEN SHE PRAYED, is written for those who feel they don't know how to pray or believe they can't pray due to their lifestyle, offering guidance and encouragement to connect with God.

Barbara is deeply compassionate toward the elderly, young people, and those who are often overlooked or marginalized. A strong advocate for mental wellness, she believes that faith in God and seeking therapy can coexist harmoniously.

Living a life fully surrendered to the Lord, Barbara trusts Him in all things and leans not on her own understanding. Grateful, blessed, and chosen by God, she is committed to spreading the gospel and fulfilling her divine calling.
